Thank you for joining the Emerson Circle led by Barbara Solowey, sponsored by the Ralph Waldo Emerson Institute, Jim Manley, Managing Director. Emerson Circle membership has registered over 20 Class Members. 20 true seekers of pure, unvarnished Conversation.

Our goal is to have 40 Class members and 400 additional on-line members worldwide to Join the Conversation. Please feel free to invite friends or people you think might be right for our Class group. The first class is free with no obligations whatsoever.

The following are among the benefits and resources RWEI provides to its members.

Websites: Presently EmersonCircle.org, RWE.org – The Completer Works of Ralph Waldo Emerson. And soon, EmersonJournals.org, 10 Volumes of RWE’s most intimate work yet to be on the Internet. The members-only portion of the website contains audio and text (in thirty-minute segments of a continuous Conversation. At this time we are studying Self-Reliance.

As EmersonCircle.org progresses in its development, each active member will be able to see, in a blog format, the most recent half hour of the most recent two-hour Conversation led by Barbara Solowey.

There will be an archive of each month so you can jump into the Conversation at any place. You will also be able to search every word spoken from every Conversation. You will have the opportunity to join in the Conversation by making comments at the bottom of the text portion. During your first visit as a member to EmersonCircle.org, if you do not already have your username and password, you can retrieve them by clicking on “Login”, then “Forgot your password?” and request to have them emailed to you. You can also help us keep your contact information up to date by making any necessary changes in the “My Profile” screen.

RWEI Newsletter: The newsletter is published electronically, monthly throughout the year. All issues include Emersonian news and links to information of interest on the EmersonCircle.org, RWE.org and soon the Journals website. The issue published after the annual (in our “Off” season, July, August & September,

The issue published after the annual “Emerson-Get-Together” (in our “Off” season, July, August & September, the date will be announced.) contains pictures and comments from the event. If you have provided an email address, you will receive the newsletter by email. If you do not have email, you can ask for a PDF. Past issues of the newsletter will be available on EmersonCircle.org. Jim Manley, RWEI Director, is the newsletter editor Jim@EmersonCircle.org. At this point, it is a Team of One. Volunteers with experience are welcome.
